The CCR is calling on the federal government to introduce Special COVID-19 Refugee Claimant Measures:
- That special measures be introduced for refugee claimants, in light of the pandemic.
- That refugee claimants be landed if they apply and meet minimum requirements.
- That applicants for the special measures not be required to withdraw their refugee claims while their application is in process (and thus maintain basic rights such as health care and a work permit).
The CCR invites you to advocate to local Members of Parliament and provincial government to support the proposed special COVID-19 Refugee Claimant Measures.
Urge them to open the dooors wide - this is a time that calls for meaningful solutions!
